Dubai Holding (DH) and Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) are undertaking the construction of a business park in Dubai, the UAE.
The project involves the construction of a business park and being developed in phases. It includes the construction of office buildings, three five-star hotels, an arena, retail space, public parks, two pedestrian bridges, food and beverage stores, a three-level parking garage with 13,000 spaces and related facilities.
It also includes the construction of a Museum of the Future comprising a museum, 3 level podium of 19,200m2 area, 7 Story of 11,200m2 facility, exhibition center, smart city, education studio, healthcare studio, theater, bridges link to metro stations (2 nos.)
Tecom Group, a subsidiary of DH has been appointed to develop and operate the business park.
One Hotel will be managed by Jumeirah Group and other two will be managed by leading international hospitality groups.
In March 2015, Killa Design was appointed as the architect for Museum of the Future.
In October 2015, ACES Dubai was awarded a contract to carry out geo-technical investigation for Museum of the Future.
BuroHappold has been appointed asleadconsultant, Aecom as costconsultant, TransGulf as MEP consultant, MatthewsSouthwestasproject manager andRicePerryEllis asas design consultant.
In May 2016, DH issued tenders for the main contractor of Museum of the Future with a submission deadline as the end of July 2016. Following firms were requested to submit bids. They are: Al Jaber LEGT Engineering Contracting, BAM International, Bouygues, Laing ORourke and Samsung CT.
In July 2016, bids submission deadline was extended twice from August 2, 2016 to August 14, 2016.
In September 2016, Al Jaber LEGT Engineering Contracting and BAM International submitted revised bids.
In January 2017, construction contract was awarded to BAM International for Museum of the Future.
RJ Models has been appointed to build a model of the Emirates Towers Business Park.
Construction works on Museum of the Future are underway and expected to be completed by June 2019.
