Summary
Sonatrach is undertaking the revamping of satellite units and the realization of new production systems in Hassi Messaoud gas compression facilities in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria.

The project involves the revamping and implementation of a new production system at the satellite units three satellite units at the southeast of the country and four satellite units in the southwest and the interventions on an industrial facility to modify and/or increase production capacity. 

The revamping of these facilities also includes the implementation of new high-pressure separation sections and the segregation of wells producing at high pressure and those producing with low pressure in terms of collection and will enable the facilities with recent technology that meets security and environment protection standards and increase their processing capacity.

In March 2016, JGC Algeria was awarded the US$339 million contract. Tecnicas Reunidas, ABB/Sarpi, and Petrofac international were the prequalified companies in the tender process.

Construction activities are underway.

The project involves the revamping of satellite units and the realization of new production systems in Hassi Messaoud gas compression facilities in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria.

The US$360 million project includes the following:

1. Revamping and implementation of a new production system at the satellite units

2. Implementation of new high-pressure separation sections
