McCormick & Company Inc (MKC) is planning to build an office building in Baltimore County, Maryland, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 31,495m2, six-story office building on an 8ha of land. It includes the construction of meeting rooms, conference rooms, a cafeteria, parking and related facilities.
Greenfield Partners LLC has been appointed as an associate developer and Studios Architecture as an architect.
In the first quarter of 2014, MKC considered 60 possible sites in Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania. However, in April 2015, MKC selected Hunt Valley as a preferred location for the project.
As of April 2016, MKC is working with development partner Greenfield Partners LLC and the property owner towards finalizing an agreement.
On August 5, 2016, MKC finalized an agreement to relocate its company headquarters to 99 Shawan Road in Hunt Valley.
Greenfield Partners LLC will handle the construction and planning to complete the project.
On March 28, 2017, Baltimore County Council assured to support US$2 million loan from the state as part of a deal made in 2015 to keep the corporate offices in the county.
In April 2017, McCormick planned to sell two of its headquarters buildings amid its plans to consolidate current headquarters into one big corporate campus.
